Law enforcement is seeking public help identifying potential victims in a child pornography case involving a Woodinville cheerleading coach.

Leonard Lewis, 32, is a registered sex offender. He was convicted in 2012 for attempted possession of child pornography. He was charged again in March 2018 with possession of child pornography.

Lewis worked as a cheerleading coach at Tech Gymnastics and All Star Cheer in Woodinville. KIRO 7 reports that a gym owner fired Lewis when it was discovered he misrepresented himself on a background check.

Investigators note that Lewis has traveled internationally for his work as a cheerleading coach. KIRO 7 reports that Lewis was taken into custody on March 1 in England by Border Force officers who allegedly found child pornography on Lewis’ phone. Officers initially checked the phone because records showed he was a level 1 sex offender. Lewis was then deported back to Sea-Tac on March 2.

Multiple agencies are now further investigating Lewis after his most recent charge in March. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the King County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Mercer Island Police Department are asking the public for help identifying victims.

Anyone with information about Lewis or the investigation is asked to call HSI at 206-442-1469, or email hsiseattletips@ice.dhs.gov.
