Condoleezza Rice: GOP sent 'mixed messages'

| Zoom

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the Republican Party must adapt better to rapidly changing demographics in the United States, saying the GOP sent "mixed messages" in the election campaign on immigration and women's issues.

Rice tells "CBS This Morning" the changing face of America "really necessitates" new thinking. She says, quote, "When you send mixed messages, sometimes people hear only one side of that." Rice says the GOP came close to matching the Democrats in the popular vote. But she also acknowledges that "clearly we are losing important segments" of the electorate. Rice adds that the party needs to "appeal to those groups."

Rice says she wouldn't be interested in succeeding Hillary Rodham Clinton as secretary of state, even if asked to do so by President Barack Obama.

If the Republican Party would just return to Reagan...........
we could appear again to the Hispanic electorate. .... But it's hard when too many idiots forget that we were all immigrants once - and a LOT of us simply walked across the border or got off the boat without and Ellis Island.

As Marco Rubio has said .. 'if you say you want to deport my grandmother, I get the feeling you don't like ME.'

Let's call it directly. RACISM is keeping a lot of idiots from appealing to a huge group of people who are natural conservatives. .. Religious. .. Family orientated. .. Hard working. .. .......... All immigrants (ALL - you're not going to send 16M 'back home') - and Blacks, and Asians, and anyone else with an iota of ambition needs is the chance at the American Dream. ... Not to be given poverty cradle to grave, which is all the left offers. But to work for the better life.

Rice quit the job as Sec. of State because she couldn't handle the way cheney was running us into war after war for no reason. She got out so she couldn't be blamed for the disaster that the bush administration caused, that we are still paying for,and will continue to pay for, in lives and $. Colin Powell also quit for the same reasons, both highly respected and intelligent persons. Get the picture? No more repeats of republican stupidity, ever.
