Temperatures in Western Washington will hover around seasonal averages for the next few days before things heat back up.

After a few days of warm weather, Wednesday will be much cooler, with highs in the lower-to-mid 70s in most areas, according to the National Weather Service.

That trend continues as the area continues to cool off Thursday and Friday.

But the more normal temperatures won’t last long.

“Enjoy the cool down and the increase in cloudiness because it appears that this cool spell won’t last more than a few days,” according to a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

The latest weather models show we will heat back up to the low-to-mid 80s Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures will struggle to drop below 60 degrees in urban areas from Everett to Tacoma on Sunday night.

As “strong warming” continues, Monday’s highs will approach or possibly exceed 90 degrees in some areas.

The heat could last through at least Wednesday.

No rain is expected for at least the next eight days.
