Some parents who are being detained at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma will begin the process to be reunited with their children, according to The Seattle Times.

The Seattle Times — citing the Northwest Immigrant Rights Projectsaid about 10 parents were told Thursday that they will be transferred to Texas on Friday to be reunited with their children. But the parents reportedly have not been told exactly how they’ll be reunited with them.

The Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, which has been helping the mostly asylum-seeking parents brought to the detention center from the southern border, said dozens of detainees are still in custody.

KIRO 7 contacted the Department of Homeland Security requesting additional information about the reunification process.

This week, a judge temporarily stopped deportations of the families reunited after being separated at the border as the Trump administration works to meet a Tuesday deadline to reunite more than 2,500 children.

The Northwest Immigrant Rights Project tweeted that six more parents were released on bond from the Tacoma detention center Thursday.

A few dozen remain there.
