Big T's Catch Of The Day: No Corkscrew? No Problem!

Alright, admit it. You've been in this predicament before. Nice bottle of wine, the right companion, the right setting, and where the heck is the corkscrew? If your bottle has a screw top, then skip this, I have nothing to say to you. But here are some very easy ways to get to that fruit of the vine if you find yourself in a desperate situation.

And it just might happen during the holidays. These are easily found in many junk drawers, and are easy to do. Let me know if you have anything to add to this list.

    Solution number 8
This happened just yesterday to me. I forgot I broke my last opener Saturday. I wanted a "glass" so I picked a bottle using the eeny, meeny, miny, mo method (it never fails BTW). Brought it upstairs and realized I had no conventional way of opening it.

I did what any wise man in my situation would have done.

I called my wife and asked her to pick one up on the way home.

In less than 10 minutes I was sipping the fruit of "our" labors.... ;-)

Does that qualify as adding to your list? It worked, so why not? The others seem to require a potential for the need to filter after opening. My way.... not so much... :~)
