VIDEO: RDTV: Sean investigates Subway

I've been a fan of Subway restaurants for as long as I can remember. I can build my very own sub sandwich? Yes, please! Choice of veggies? Check. Choice of bread? Check. Choice of cheese? Check. Oh, and let's not forget those sauces. Those yummy, yummy sauces. Eating fresh never felt so good. Until now.

It's been brought to the attention of not only the world, but more importantly, The Ron and Don Show, that Subway has been lying to us all about the length of their sandwiches. More specifically, the footlong sandwich. Last time I checked, a foot was equal to 12 inches. As it turns out, the folks over at Subway aren't too good at math and have been serving 11 inch footlong sanwiches to the public without even batting an eye.

    i'm sure it'll just be some "oversite" that they'll claim they didn't know about.

    just like the beers at safeco and how a full large convienently fit in the the regular size cup.

    anything to squeeze a little more into the coffers.

    They say it's a "foot long", not 12 inches long. My foot is much longer than my 10 week old grandson's. So when I go to Subway and get a sandwich that's 11 inches rather than the 3 inch equivalent to my grandson's foot I think they're giving me a pretty good deal.

    Has anyone measured a 2"x4" piece of wood in the last 50 years? They are not 2"4" so I guess I am to expect a 12.5% rebate on all of the lumber I purchsed in the last 50 years. NOT a newsworthy story.

    I noticed the 2X4 thing as a kid while helping my dad build a garage. I guess at some point they are 2 by 4 before they get milled. But hey, "at some point" I was the weight listed on my drivers license.

    that's the point where the centerline for the cut is marked, then they plane it and sand it. in architecture a 8 x 10 room is not net inside dimensions, it's to the center of the wall. subway uses a pan that measures 12" inside and the bread shrinks when it cools.
