Quilts For Newtown Update

We told you recently about an amazing group of Western Washington women who were making quilts to send to the families of victims in the Newtown Connecticut shooting tragedy. The big quilt show was Saturday in LaConner, and there was quite a turnout, along with many beautiful quilts and some tears too. These women need to be commended for spending weeks hand making these very heartfelt works of art. I talked to organizer Kelly Beedle of Anacortes, and she showed me a couple of the quilts. You can check them all out at Quilts for Newtown on Facebook.
