What does CNN newsman Anderson Cooper think of presidential hopeful Donald Trump?
“I think he’s kind of a big picture guy,” the professional journalist told KIRO Radio’s Ron and Don. “This is not something that he’s done before. He doesn’t have a lot of people around him giving him policy papers, he’s not reading policy papers. But he knows how to hire people with expertise.”
Now try asking Cooper’s pal Andy Cohen the same question.
“Oh my God,” Cohen said. “I think he’s an entertaining, very orange, [person] with a cotton candy hair piece. I just don’t take him seriously.”
That’s the kind of dynamic an audience can expect at AC2, an intimate evening with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. The pair are bringing their friendship to stages across the country, including Seattle on Jan. 16 at the Paramount Theatre.
Cooper is a journalist with decades of on-air experience. While he has dabbled in the realm of TV personality, Cooper is most known today for his work anchoring at CNN.
Cohen, on the other hand, is a talk show and radio host, and producer of a range of shows, including the Real Housewives franchise. He is currently the host of “Watch What Happens: Live,” on Bravo.
They may seem from opposite ends of the TV dial, but put them together on stage and it makes for an entertaining evening of stories, conversation and gossip about TV, news and more.
Ron and Don got a taste of that dynamic while chatting with the two Wednesday.
“This is basically it, but we would be drinking,” Anderson said.
“And our entire audience is usually drinking, too,” Cohen added. “I always say it’s like going out to a bar with us and hanging out and shooting the stuff with each other. We gossip and tell a lot of funny stories.”
