Don is fed up with Tom Douglas' seasonal menu

This lasagna from Cuoco may look delicious, but it's not what Don wants to order.
When Don finds something he likes on a restaurant menu, he wants to count on it time and again.

Maybe it's not the way of his foodie friends Ron and Rachel, but in that regard he says he's been sending food back like never before - with all kinds of complaints.

Recently, Don was out at a favorite Tom Douglas restaurant, Cuoco, and he wanted the pork shoulder; he'd ordered it before and knew that was exactly what would satisfy his appetite for delicious food. But it wasn't on the menu anymore. So he got the pork shank instead.

For Don, the shank just didn't hit the spot.

It's this kind of seasonal menu change, something our beloved Seattle chefs switch up two or four times a year that has Don, literally, fed up.

When the menu offered Don mint jelly instead of potatoes and gravy - he went on a tirade.

"I don't want any mint jelly! I want gravy. And I want potatoes. And I want a shoulder!"

It doesn't matter that it's summer. Forget the lighter fair, Don's ready for meat and potatoes all year long.

Another beef Don has with summer food - roasted apricots. He just doesn't get it, though the mere mention of the menu item had Ron and Libby salivating on air.

By the way Tom, Don says he's ready for you to swing by the station and serve up one of your famous and delicious pork shoulders at your earliest convenience.
