Sea-Tac International Airport announced Sunday night that incoming flights may be delayed almost an hour due to thick smoke and haze from wildfires in western Washington.

The FAA alert stated that the delays are due to low visibility, and some arriving flights are delayed an average of 1 hour and 33 minutes.

In all, 373 flights were delayed Sunday with 12 cancellations at Sea-Tac Airport. KIRO 7 checked again this Monday morning and there were six cancellations so far, but no word yet if those are smoke-related.

Check the FAA alert here for additional updates.

Another air quality alert has been issued for Western Washington from Sunday to 5 p.m. Wednesday as smoky haze returns to Seattle. Residents should stay indoors whenever possible.
