Two victims robbed at gunpoint near University of Washington

Two victims were robbed at gunpoint near the University of Washington early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the on the 5600 block of 16th Avenue Northeast at about 1:30 a.m. October 6.
The victims reported that two men appeared from behind some bushes and confronted them, one holding a semi-automatic handgun. The man holding the gun hit both victims in the face with the gun and stole one victim’s cell phone, wallet, and keys.
The suspects then fled south on 16th Avenue Northeast. Police officers were not able to apprehend them.
The victims described the two suspects as black males in their early 20s wearing black or navy blue hooded sweatshirts.
Neither victim was seriously injured.
No other information about the stolen items or the victims was made available.
