Remains found near school identified as man missing since 2006

Remains discovered in the woods near the Bastyr University in Kenmore have been identified.

Brian McDonald dropped his daughter off at school on April 4, 2006. He told her was going to go for a walk that day.

He was never seen again.

On Thursday when two students were walking through the woods near NE 143 and Juanita Drive NE, they found what appeared to be a human remains, including a skull. They called police.

King County detectives collected the bones, which they believed were outside in the elements for some time.

Detectives searched the woods Friday looking for clues. They are checking out MacDonald's activities at the time of his disappearance, but say there is no indication of foul play.
