Man shot multiple times in vehicle in south Seattle
on December 3, 2012 @ 6:37 am (Updated: 6:40 am - 12/3/12 )Police say a 40-year-old man was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries from multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday.
Police say it appears the man was shot in his vehicle around 5:52 p.m. near Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street. The man who was shot by an unknown suspect drove away from the scene and flagged down a police officer.
The officer called medics, and the man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Officers are investigating what led up to the shooting. During their inspection of the victim's vehicle, they found a gun lying on the floor in the front of the car.
The car was impounded and taken to the evidence garage for further examination.
There is no description of the suspect at this time.
