Pacific Mayor Cy Sun caught with his hand in a mailbox, violating federal law

Embattled Pacific Mayor Cy Sun may find himself in some new, unwanted trouble. He may have broken federal law Saturday afternoon, by stuffing town mailboxes with a letter defending himself.

According to KING 5, Kris Mott, a member of the committee to recall the mayor, took video of Sun putting a three-page letter inside people's mailboxes.

In the letter, Sun blames the City of Pacific's problems on its city council.

Last week, Sun walked out of the city's most important council meeting: the future of the 103-year-old city was on the table. Sun has been blamed for ruining the city in his less than a year in office.

So many people had wanted to give Sun a piece of their minds last Monday night that the council meeting was moved to a school gymnasium to handle the crowd.

"The mayor has to resign or quit or something, and everybody that agrees with me, I wish they would stand up and show their hands for the news media," one man said.

Mayor Sun asked the crowd to sit down and be quiet, and then he walked out of the room, so the council was left to decide what to do.

Pacific is about to lose its insurance because the carrier believes the mayor is too unpredictable and the city is too risky to cover.

The Pacific City Council will vote on whether to dissolve as a city and be annexed into neighboring Auburn at a meeting Monday evening.

    Regardless of the state of politics and corruption (or lack of) in Pacific before Sun was elected, the problems have been massively compounded by a man who appears to be totally clueless and trying to 'do things "HIS" way' regardless of legality and is clearly devoid of honor or at least the ability (or desire) to explain his 'angry old man' methods. His tactics have increased the problems within the city, no matter how you look at the state of the city prior to his election.

    This cranky, crazy old man just doesn't quit. He has absolutely no respect for laws. He is going to do whatever he wants and to heck with what his community is wanting/needing. They really seem to be held hostage by this crazy lunatic.

    They voted for him, they, or a majority in the town, voted for Sun and now, just like the rest of the country are getting what they choose, not what they may have wanted or probably needed. Corruption can be fixed, poorly educated voters are another matter entirely.

    You think Mayor Sun has no respect for the law. You are nuts. Is it so hard for you to believe the council has been "creating" this drama from day one because they "never" planned on accepting a "write in" candidate? Councilmember Guier is the worst snake in the grass - pretending to accept the "people's choice" while going to employees and frightening them about their jobs and claiming the Mayor was going to fire them. So, those employees took sides (the wrong side) against their "boss" and got fired for insubordination. Was it worth your petty payout Jane? No one will hire that ex clerk and the council played her a fool just like the press. You have a white haired convicted wife murderer on the council who has twice been arrested for soliciting prostitutes and you "claim" Mayor has no honor? You are all nuts. Finally, someone gets in with the backbone to clean up the good old drunk boys and girls club and this is what he gets? Well, he was warned "going in" and he has a soldier's resolve. Mayor Cy Sun will prevail. And those that elected him - more than a third of the voters in a 3 way race against an incumbent mayor and councilman - those voters will be vindicated, as well. The press makes me sick. They don't know or care to learn how city government works. If they bothered they'd now the legislative council has screwed the whole town.

    I see no difference between what the Mayor did here and the Recall Committee representatives coming on to my property, passing a No Trespassing sign at the beginning of my property and then passing a No Trespassing sign at my door, and knocking on my door to sign their Petition. Trespass is Trespass.

    This story,like the others, is total lies. The press is just eating up this craziness. The so called source Kris Mott is a liar. Plain and simple. His own "stalking" of the Mayor proves that. So this Kris guy just happens to have a camera and be filming the mayor and all he gets is film of the Mayor walking "past" locked security mailboxes to legally put literature on doorsteps? Really? Pacific is not the source of ridiculous entertainment for the press to pick at like vultures and for others who know "nothing" to spout how awful our Mayor is. You and this ridiculous story is a joke. So, some guy "claims" he's caught the Mayor putting literature in mailboxes, "yet" the guy doesn't get footage? But, he get's footage of the Mayor walking "past" mailboxes. Do you people not understand that a small "bully" minority - mostly the city council and friends - refuse to accept our history making "write in" winner Mayor and they just keep making crap up and the press just keeps sucking it up? Eventually, someone with some sense in the press is going to "finally" report what a "set up" joke "all" these ridiculous accusations are. Really? The councilmembers started the recall which will go nowhere and they know it, so they start all this "fake" drama "the Mayor did this, the Mayor did that" and as each accusation goes "nowhere" they just "make up more." Anyone that knows anyone about this source knows Mr. Mott is a liar with no credibility whose own stalking filming of our Mayor does "not" show the Mayor putting his hand in "any" mailbox. Look carefully "viewers" at the footage - the Mayor walks past the mailboxes. This Mott guy had a camera. You can bet if he were telling the truth he would have caught it on tape. Get a life. Our Mayor isn't going anywhere. Deal with it. Man, it's been a year already!
