New trouble in Seattle for comedian Katt Williams
on January 21, 2013 @ 3:11 pm (Updated: 3:48 pm - 1/21/13 )

The Los Angeles comic and actor with a recent history of arrests, failed to appear in court in Seattle last month after he was charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault following a bar fight Dec. 2. He's accused of throwing chairs and hitting a man over the head with a microphone during a performance at World Sports Grille.
Now the Seattle City Attorney has filed another misdemeanor charge of harassment. A spokeswoman for Peter Holmes says the charge stems from a confrontation at the same bar on the same weekend. A charging document claims Williams used obscene language and threatened two people "creating a substantial risk of assault," according to the criminal complaint.
Williams was arrested recently in Los Angeles for failing to appear for arraignment in a case involving evading a police officer. Bail was set for that case at $100,500. The Seattle City Attorney is seeking bail of $5,000 claiming Williams has been arrested more than 15 times in the last year.
