NASA’s Bobak Ferdowsi, a former University of Washington Husky, came out with a new hairdo to celebrate President Obama’s inauguration.

Ferdowsi’s hair gained national attention after he crafted a stars and stripes ‘do for the landing of the Mars Curiosity Rover back in August.

“I definitely didn’t expect to wake up seeing it all over the Internet,” Ferdowsi told KIRO Radio a day after the landing.

Ferdowsi had kept up the tradition of a new style for landmark moments in the mission.

The president’s inauguration also apparently rose to new hairdo status as Ferdowsi debuted a new N-A-S-A print hairstyle in the president’s inauguration parade on Monday.

Ferdowsi was in the parade with a NASA float featuring a model of the Mars Curiosity rover.
