Bare breasted baristas busted in Everett

Talk about scalding hot coffee: Everett police have arrested three baristas for putting on strip shows at their coffee stand.

The arrests followed a two-month long investigation prompted by complaints from a number of people who saw far more than they wanted.

"We have no problem with what they were wearing. It was what they were taking off while they were serving coffee," says Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell.

Snell says video surveillance revealed in some cases, the baristas weren't even making coffee and simply took money to perform strip shows.

The baristas work at two different Grab-N-Go coffee stands at 2030 Broadway Ave. and 333 SW SE Everett Mall Way. They're accused of violating Everett's Adult Cabaret law.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and looking into whether the owners were involved.

It's not the first trouble for Grab-N-Go. Several baristas were charged with prostitution back in 2009.

    Bare breasts?
So you can bare your breasts in public view anywhere in this state if you are suckling a baby but it considered lewd if you do the same in a semi-private establishment? What a waste of time, money and effort in a state that is arguably one of the most liberal in the country. Too Progressive for you?

I'm sure this is the first time police officials have noticed that the female gender tends to use their sexuality to free men of the burden of money....probably why they needed to do a two month investigating

It took the Everett Police 2 months to bust the baristas?
What did the investigation cost as far as "Man Hours" and taxpayer dollars donated to the g-strings of the bouncing babes? Any overtime assigned for the case? During the same time frame were there any property crimes, assaults in Everett?

This couldn't hit much closer to home.
I live about 2 minutes away from the everett mall way stand, and I have to say I couldn't be happier that they finally busted these sleaze bags. These bikini stands are completely unnecessary. The girls ae all bullimic wannabe models who look like they haven't had a decent meal in months. Their coffee is absolutely awful and extremely overpriced. These $lu+ houses take away from legitimate, hard-working coffee stand people - people who know how to make good coffee and who don't wish to be part of the evil Starbucks conglomerate. To those of you who think that I'm ranting like this because I'm anti-nudity: think again. I LOVE b00bs. They are fantastic. However, you people are kidding yourselves if you think that the only people who see this stuff are the ones who drive up and order it. I know parents who would walk their kids to school in the morning and see these women serve up more than coffee. Fortunately, these people are smart and know to keep an eye on these places so they can sheild their kids should these incidents occur. They have even called the police to let them know what's going on (maybe that's how the investigations started). You don't need skimpy outfits to make coffee, but if you people must have them, I suggest this to you. Remove the drive up feature, and make is so that you have to go into a windowless building to get coffee from these "ladies". Put a sign up front, so people know what they're in for inside, then just make it an 18+ establishment. The degenerates get what they want, the girls can get as naked as they want, and we don't have to waste police resources on this stuff. Problem solved.

Please do tell...in what way am I being sanctimonious? I believe that adults should have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies, as long as it doesn't violate anyone's rights. I just think that these kinds of activities should be regulated so that those who don't wish to be exposed to these things don't have to be. Call it what you will, but that's far from sanctimonious.

    Actually Dude,
You don't believe adults have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies. Otherwise you would just drive to the next block and get a coffee somwhere else.

This stuff goes on in my neighborhood. It's not about going somewhere else to get coffee (which I do btw. McCafe mochas FTW). A "barista" should have about as much right to expose her ta-ta's as I should to flash my junk at passers-by

Exactly correct. We don’t, it is the dumb a $$ bosses of the EPD throwing our money in the trash going after these women on frivolous charges. What are the women going to get a $500.00 fine and probation? And the EPD spent how many countless thousands of dollars and man hours on this? Is anybody surprised WA State is broke?

The State, County and City are truely hypocrites on this topic.
If it is a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body, why is this the governments business? Unless they are upset about missing out on a "taxable event". We have legalized recreation MJ use in this State, how about adult consentual prostitution? Talk about a money maker!

    FIRST PROBLEM WITH THIS...
"The arrests followed a two-month long investigation prompted by complaints from a number of people who saw far more than they wanted."

    TWO MONTHS!?

nothing better to do? no drug or violent crimes to worry about? let's spend TWO MONTHS of taxpayer time to bust a COFFEE STAND!?

    OH, and...

"Snell says video surveillance revealed in some cases, the baristas weren't even making coffee and simply took money to perform strip shows."

yeah, i'll BET they have PLENTY of video of the goings on there.

not to mention that this is an "ongoing investigation." please.

all that aside. IF they're breaking the law, give them the fine and let's all move on. no need to let this drag on and on.

i just hope they crossed their T's and dotted their I's on this. cause if the cops were doing ANYTHING wrong, like egging them on, or showing up a little TOO often, then THAT is the bigger issue.

who calls this stuff in? who tattles? and, if they clearly "see more than they wanted too" 1. why do they go to those stands? and 2. no, i think #1 covered it. avoid the stands if you don't like them. the baristas should be aware of their surroundings and the audience both in the coffee line and trying to catch a glimpse from an angle.

but, please, can't we move on...?
