Budget cuts could ground Blue Angels Seafair show

The mandatory federal spending cuts that took effect Friday could keep the Blue Angels from flying at Seafair in Seattle this summer.

Some shows by the U.S. Navy flight demonstration squadron have been cancelled this year. But for now, the Seafair event the first weekend in August is still on the Blue Angels' official schedule.

Reuters reports the Blue Angels plan to cancel shows in more than two dozen cities between April and September. A number of shows have been called off already.

A spokeswoman for Seafair concedes it's possible the Seattle show could be cancelled and that Seafair is developing plans if that happens. But Melissa Jurcan emphasizes that no official cuts to the Blue Angels schedule have been announced that would impact Seafair.

The Air Force said Friday it has cancelled the entire 2013 season for its Thunderbirds flying team, along with all public aviation support including air shows, trade shows, open houses and flyovers.

    Maybe with our country being this far in debt

    Perhaps it would be OK to cut out some of the non-essential programs that really do

    cost a lot of money

    The Blue Angels were here last year. Even with the cuts we are spending more than last year. Where did the money go? Are they all crooks?

    The White House could request that the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood do flyovers with those F-16's they just gave them. (Unless of course there busy using them to kill Jews)

    The dear leader went out again on his never ending campaign warning of dire consequences if the cuts are allowed to go through. Janitors losing their jobs ? really Barry? your bleeding heart is just astounding. Just two weeks ago Obama went golfing in South Florida at a cost to the tax payers that would have kept 341 Government workers on the job if he were telling the truth. And what about those Federal Teachers? you know those imaginary educators that don't exist since there are no federal teachers. The liar and chief is truly at his best when he can campaign all day and blame everyone else never has there been an elected official who held office as Obama has and not make a mistake or take any responsibility for any failings it's always the Republicans fault. The president is destroying our economy on purpose which means he is hurting all of us even the fools who voted for him .
