Snow showers are spotty throughout the Puget Sound lowlands Friday and they will dissipate into the evening. It made for a tricky morning commute in some areas.

Places like Everett and Mill Creek have seen a majority of the snow, but areas in North Seattle and the Eastside also saw flakes. Down south, Federal Way saw some snow in the early morning, but it didn't stick, according to reports.

Forecasters say the convergence zone will likely weaken and shift south and finally disappear into the evening. Some areas may see up to an inch of snow as the system shifts.

The National Weather Service warns drivers to use caution on the roads all day. Slippery roads, reduced vision, and delays are likely.

Several schools were put on delayed start due to the inclement weather.

Spring sunshine is expected to return Sunday with a high pressure system moving in over the area. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 50's.

If you're looking for a little fun in the snow, conditions are perfect. Stevens Pass resort has received about eight inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and the clouds are parting. There are nine inches of new snow at The Summit at Snoqualmie Pass and it is sunny.
