Motorcyclist dragged 241 feet, dies at Renton crash scene

A 50- to 60-year-old man riding a motorcycle was hit by an SUV and dragged 241 feet Tuesday morning in Renton.
Renton police report the man died at the scene.
Police closed a portion of the highway to investigate the fatal crash in the East Renton Highlands. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of State Route 169 (Maple Valley Highway), near 154th Place Southeast.
The highway reopened around 8:30 a.m.
