Seattle police have released photos and videos of a female suspect who's believed to have cut IV tubes at Swedish Hospital.

A patient in the Seattle hospital complained when she woke up to find a strange person fiddling with her IV tube. It turns out the tube had been cut. Staff at the hospital say when the patient questioned the woman, she left the room.

A check of the machine that patients use to self-administer pain medications, known as a PCA, showed pry marks, indicating somebody tried to get at the drugs inside, according to a police report.

The suspect was later observed looking into other patient rooms on another floor. When hospital staff approached the suspect, she said that she was there to check the PCA machines. A few of the machines had been taken out of service so the staff member didn't think it was suspicious.

The suspect continued into another room where family members were present with a patient. The family members noticed blood after the suspect left and saw the PCA tubing had been cut.

The hospital believes the only property taken was two feet of tubing from the machines, which may have contained some pain medication.

Police are still looking for the suspect who is described as a white female in her mid 30s to 40s with blonde hair. She was last seen wearing scrubs. Police also say she had knowledge of medical terminology and was confident with her answers to questions from staff members.
