Seven people were injured in a multi-car crash on southbound I-5 near Spokane Street Thursday afternoon.

The pile up, which included a tour bus, semi truck, and car, blocked multiple lanes of I-5 until around 3 p.m.

Six people involved in the incident were reported in serious condition with complaints of neck and back pain. A seventh person was reported in critical condition. All the patients were transported to Harborview Medical Center and Swedish Hospital.

WSP said they do not yet know the cause of the accident.

The crash caused a 12 mile backup.
