Joel McHale schools Ellen on the Seattle Seahawks

NBC "Community" star and former KIRO Radio intern Joel McHale appeared on "Ellen" Thursday and the topic was the Seahawks.

McHale is a diehard Seahawks fan and spent part of the interview trying to convince Ellen they're the team to root for.

He loves the team so much, that he says sometimes it's hard to watch. "It's very stressful. I love the Seahawks and it's hard for me to sit still to watch the games," he said.

He told Ellen the NFC Title game was, "more stressful than being awake during surgery."

McHale has plans to be at the Super Bowl, and he's insured a Hawks win. "I don't know if I can handle it. I'll be in the stands going, 'Don't you realize how many years this has taken?!' The Seahawks have (now) been twice. Last time they lost, but this time they will win because I made a deal with God."

Unfortunately, Ellen couldn't be persuaded by McHale, and she says she will be cheering for the Denver Broncos.
