There might have been some unnecessary scrambling in Pacific County Thursday after a ‘Tsunami Warning’ alert was issued in error.
The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency says a tsunami warning was issued in error by Accu-Weather. The alert went out to some area smartphones and broadcast networks.
Deputy Director Scott McDougall says there are currently no tsunami warnings in the area.
