While out trick-or-treating Friday night, you might stumble upon a teal pumpkin.
What does it mean?
A teal pumpkin means you’re at a house that has non-food treats for trick-or-treaters with food allergies.
Food Allergy Research & Education is trying to encourage neighborhoods to start a new tradition that will make Halloween fun for kids with food allergies.
“The Teal Pumpkin Project is designed to promote safety, inclusion and respect of individuals managing food allergies – and to keep Halloween a fun, positive experience for all,” touts FARE.
