A man who flashed what appeared to be a real hand grenade forced the closure of International Blvd. in SeaTac Tuesday morning as a King County bomb squad investigated.
The man walked into a business on the street between S. 195th and S. 200 streets and brandished the grenade before leaving, according to King County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jessica Sullivan.
The merchant called police, who quickly responded and found the man walking down the street.
The bomb squad determined the device was inert, and the suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail.
An investigation continues. The street was reopened after about 45 minutes, Sullivan said.
