(not really)
Follow two diehard Seahawks fans on their way to Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX. Catherine and Deb have no special reason for going to the game except that they bleed blue and green.
The plan: Fly into Ontario, CA Thursday morning (6 a.m. flight out of Sea-Tac) and then drive five hours to Phoenix where a relative is hosting the ladies. Cost: About $300 round trip for airfare, $115 for rental car, and “a kidney” for game tickets.
Wednesday 7:30 a.m. “Boarding passes printed – check!”
Wednesday 6:15 p.m. “Off work – heading home to finish packing – check!”
Thursday 9:42 a.m. Diverted to Oakland due to fog in San Jose…waiting to make our connection to Ontario…maybe we’ll land at 12 instead of 10:30!
Thursday: 1:58 p.m.
Thursday 6:30 p.m.
Just crossed into AZ
Thursday 7:30 p.m.
And….it’s raining
BUT. ..we’ve got tickets and it’s warm outside.
We were on the plane with Mr. & Mrs. Seahawk and several other 12’s They didn’t have tickets, but were hoping to get tickets if/when prices come down. We were told how smart/lucky we were to have gotten ours when we did.
Friday 3:05 p.m:

Saturday 1:35 p.m.
So here’s my 12’s story for Friday….we were in the NFL Experience and me and the guy in front of me were both grand prize winners at the Head ‘n Shoulders booth. The lady at the booth said, “This is our first back-to-back winners” and I said (proudly pointing to my Seahawks shirt) “Yes, we will be!”
My prize choice was a Troy Palumalo signed football or an NFL team store gift card. I said I’d take the gift card because Troy wasn’t a Seahawk.
