Couple beaten in brutal Renton home invasion robbery

An elderly Renton couple is hospitalized and police are seeking their attacker in a brutal home invasion robbery.
Renton police say the 86-year-old man and his 74-year-old wife were in their North Renton home Saturday night around 8:40 p.m. when a man broke in through their sliding glass door. He brutally attacked the couple, leaving them with serious head injuries. The suspect then ransacked the house, stealing a number of their belongings.
An extensive search by K9 and patrol officers failed to locate the suspect.
Police are seeking a person of interest seen in the immediate area. He’s described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, 35-45 years old, wearing light grey sweatpants and a matching light grey sweatshirt with a white t-shirt underneath. His hair is described as mostly dark with some grey, short on the sides and pulled back on the top into a short ponytail high on the back of his head. He had no facial hair at the time of the attack.
