A Seahawks fan is collecting signatures from the 12s, trying to convince the team to host a rally even though there was no Super Bowl victory.

“We MUST celebrate our team’s amazing year. We won the NFC championship AND made back to back Super Bowl appearances,” writes David Douglas, of Ellensburg, Wash. on a petition at change.org. “A rally must happen so the fans can thank the team for all their hard work!”

The petition is addressed to the Seahawks front office/administration:

“Have A Rally for our team! We achieved great success this year. The 12’s are saying it loudly. We want a season closing rally to congratulate our team on another amazing year. Please get a rally planned to allow the 12’s to show their love to the players and coaches.”

The Seahawks organization reportedly said Monday that no parade or celebration is planned, and the city said it would follow the team’s lead.

So far, over 1,200 Seahawks fans have signed the petition.
