Man shoots himself in the leg in South Seattle parking lot

A man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for a self-inflicted gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon.
The 30-year-old male shot himself in the leg, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Officers received a report of the shooting near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Garden Street in the Brighton neighborhood at just after 4 p.m., according to police.
The man was in stable condition.
Witnesses told police the man handed the gun off to someone else who then fled the scene.
