Seattle police are investigating a woman’s body found in a car at a parking garage near a movie theater in Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood.

Firefighters called police after discovering the adult female unresponsive in a car in the 300 block of NE 103rd St. near the Regal Thornton Place Cinemas.

KING 5 reports the body was found in the backseat of the car with the door open.

Homicide detectives and investigators collected evidence and canvassed the area for witnesses.

Detectives will work with the Medical Examiner to identify the victim and cause of death.

Seattle police have increased patrols in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide/Assault Tip Line at (206)233-5000.
