When Seattleites spend an extra 63 hours stuck in traffic every year, is it any wonder they’re not the greatest drivers?

In yet another study about our habits on the roads, Seattle drivers rank a measly 184th out of 200 U.S. cities in Allstate Insurance’s “America’s Best Drivers Report.” That’s down 11 notches from last year’s ranking: 173rd.

Bellevue drivers, a new addition to the annual report, did a little better at 174. Tacoma was ranked at 164.

According to the report, Seattle drivers go about 6.9 years between accidents and are 46 percent more likely to get into a crash than the national average.

On average, Allstate says drivers get into an accident every 10 years. Seventy-percent of those accidents happen at speeds under 35 mph.

The worst drivers in the country are in Boston, ranked 200th. They can’t even make it four years between accidents.
