Police investigating threats to Seattle mosques, Muslims

Nov 19, 2015, 4:31 PM | Updated: 5:06 pm

Threats to Seattle-area mosques are under investigation after a social media post implied violence against the local Muslim community.

The FBI is looking into one specific threat, The Seattle Times reports. And an FBI spokesperson told the Times that the post was deleted, but not after it was noticed.

People who saw the post on the Facebook page Last Patriots of America took screenshots and shared it.

There are 18 Mosques in the greater Seattle area where I live. I’ve got the addresses of each. Do You know where the next attack will come from? I at least know where to strike back! The only way that we can be completely free of this threat of terror is to eradicate the Death Cult masquerading as a religion from our streets! -Patriot 76-

The post notes that it was written at 10:08 a.m. in Edmonds, Wash. On Nov. 18. The Times reports that the page administrator denied making threats and said that people are lying to suit their own agenda.

Similar threats can be reported to the FBI at 206-622-0460, or by calling 9-1-1.
