Seattle police locate missing woman without her wheelchair

The Seattle Police Department located a missing woman after her powered wheelchair was found abandoned in an alley.

Jacqueline Sorgen, 68, was found near the 7900 block of Dayton Avenue. She is receiving medical attention.

Sorgen lives in Seattle’s Phinney Ridge neighborhood and was reported missing Thursday after neighbors found her wheelchair abandoned in an alley not far from her home. She was last seen at Greenwood Avenue North and North 85th Street.

Police asked the public for help locating the woman on Thursday afternoon, noting that Sorgen needs medication for medical conditions and has difficulty moving without the assistance of her wheelchair.
