Seattle ranks second among promiscuous online daters

Way to go Seattleites, we're the second most promiscuous city in the country.

Online dating site OKCupid.com compiled the data collected when users describe what they're interested in: long-term dating, marriage, etc.

"One of the choices that people can select is 'casual sex,' so we simply looked to see which city had the highest percent of their members selecting 'casual sex' as the kind of relationship they're looking for," co-founder and CEO Sam Yagan told 97.3 KIRO FM's Dori Monson Show.

Our I-5 rival, Portland, came in at number one.

Not surprisingly, men in Seattle are three times more likely to answer "casual sex" than women.

"For Seattle, it was 8.5 percent of our members, so it was about four (percent) for women and about 12 (percent) for men," said Yagan.

If you think liberals have those traits to themselfs you're either really ignorant or lying to yourself. The libs my have brought it out in the open but anyone with any hormones have had casual sex at one time or another in their life. You should use your brains more and lips (or fingertips)less. I consider most conservatives smarter than libs but you sure seem to be an exception.

Where did I say "all to themselves"? Show me.
Or shut up. It said a REMNANT. I know it's a big word for someone w/ a GED, but we have books called dictionaries where you can look up words you don't understand.

    Only 8.5 percent?
Try it the other way around: 91.5 percent of the members from Seattle were looking for something MORE than casual sex. But I guess that's not the story the article's author wanted to tell. Previous commenters who drew the conclusion that going online is a way to score some casual sex should understand that if the numbers reported here are accurate, their chances of success are less than 1 in 10.

    question...
out of curiosity, how many of the people that were just looking to score are of the LGBT community? i used to do a radio show where i compared the Stranger's personal adds between men seeking men, and women seeking women to show how crazy the difference was in the ads. the men's only section always had more ads. just wondering if this is a similar situation.
