Dad shares details of what Knox has been up to since her return

Curt Knox says his daughter Amanda hasn't slept much since arriving back in Seattle on Tuesday after four years in an Italian prison.

In his first interview since her release, Curt Knox told "Good Morning America" that his daughter is doing well.

"She's actually doing a lot better than I had anticipated," said Knox.

One of the things he says she has done since returning home is to lie down in grass. He said that she had two twin cousins that were only 1-year-old when she was first sent to prison, and now she's getting some good play time, and time to catch up with family and friends.

Knox said that his daughter didn't really know how many people had been following her case until the press conference in Seattle.

"The only exposure she really saw was when she would enter the courtroom and all the cameras are flashing during each of the hearings," said Knox. "But to see all the cameras at that particular press conference I think gave her a better idea of what people were following and the fact that people were following her case so closely."

Knox told KOMO Radio "she's literally running on adrenalin" as she reconnects with family and friends. He says it will take some time before the family figures out what the "new normal" will be.

The 24-year-old former University of Washington student and her family left Italy immediately after an appeals court threw out her conviction in the slaying of her British roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, where both were studying abroad.

Thats what I tell my daughter that wants to travel even more. You are playing and living over at their house and property, if you dont like their rules, better come home. Lets see some of the stuff that goes on in the US being pulled in other countries. NOT They will fix you. This is(in my opinion)still the best country in the word, but its sure slipping. AND I dont want to be like the others, I want to be differnt, (better) I dont want to be the norm.

Nice job ripping Obama in a story that has nothing to do with politics. By the way, there has been 2 presidents since the time that she was arrested.

    President bashers...
It's funny that no matter what a story is about, someone has to throw in some nonsense about the current President. People think the President is some magical force that can and should be available to solve every individuals problems.
