Someone in Port Angeles is taking the Christ out of Christmas, literally, by stealing the baby Jesus out of front yard nativity scenes.

"We're trying to teach our son the real meaning of Christmas, and when he went outside he was like, 'Where's Jesus? Where's Jesus?'" said Port Angeles mom Kristina Russell.

Russell's nativity scene wasn't the only one disturbed. Russell discovered quite a few of her neighbors woke up Monday morning to find their Nativity Scenes had been violated.

"A few people told me that whoever took them did do things like put Joseph on top of Mary or put the deer on top of each other in disgusting poses."

Some Port Angeles residents say it's been happening to them year after year. Russell's just sorry she won't be able to share the joy she's found in the nativity set given to her by her grandmother.

"It's a family tradition that I grew up with," says Russell. "We're kind of fed up that some thief would come along and rob that joy from us and everybody else."
