Seattle police have recovered over 100 pieces of stolen mail after a K9 officer training in a neighborhood near the Jackson Park golf course spotted a car stopping at all the mailboxes on a residential street.

Detective Mark Jamieson says it happened just after midnight Dec. 28. The officer called for backup and when police pulled the car over in the 13300 Block of 20th Avenue NE, they spotted a bag filled with everything from checks and Christmas cards to Netflix movies taken from nearly 30 houses. They also spotted a number of credit cards on the dashboard and floor.

The 21-year-old man driving the car admitted the mail was stolen. He and his 19-year-old female companion have been charged with nine counts of mail theft and five counts of Possession of Stolen Property.
