After seeing a photo of murder suspect Peter Keller, Everett Paul said it was definitely the man that helped him find a place to propose in the Rattlesnake Ridge area. | Zoom
After murder suspect Peter Keller was found dead in a bunker near Rattlesnake Ridge, a man came forward saying he'd run into Keller on the trail and consulted him about where he should propose to his girlfriend.

"I saw him and asked him if he was a local and if he could help me out a little bit, help me figure out where I could propose," Everett Paul tells KING 5. "He stood up and he started pointing out different spots to me, like we're standing shoulder to shoulder."

Paul said after seeing the story in the news, he began connecting the dots.

"I got a little interested in the story and I looked it up online and low and behold I see this guy's face, and I'm like - Are you kidding me? That's definitely the guy."

The run-in happened just a day after Keller is believed to have killed his wife and daughter in their North Bend home.

Keller's wife, Lynnettee, and 18-year-old daughter, Kaylene, were found shot dead in their burning home on April 22.

Keller was found dead in his bunker hideout near Rattlesnake Ridge after a SWAT standoff April 28.

WOW - won't that be something to tell the grand kids.

Not a great idea to admit this one...
While it's an entertaining story, some secrets are best kept that way - especially since the sighting info is pretty useless now but your fiance / wife will ALWAYS know a family murderer on the lam gave you proposal advice.

perhaps the fault of the original transcriber and not MYNW staff - but it was driving me crazy.
