Snohomish County executive investigation continues

The Washington State Patrol delivered the initial results of its six month investigation into Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon to the Island County prosecutor’s office last week, but the office has yet to look into it.
Island County prosecutor Greg Banks says he hasn’t started reading the state patrol report on Reardon’s alleged misuse of his office and taxpayer money.
Banks is handling the case for Snohomish County so there is no conflict of interest.
The Everett Herald reports phone records appear to show a Reardon staffer using office time and resources to dig up dirt on his opponent in the last election.
Reardon’s phone records also seem to support claims of an alleged affair with a county social worker.
She claims the executive used county money to take trips with her.
Reardon’s attorney, John Wolfe, said last week that his client has committed no crimes.
