Cold front ending stretch of warm, dry weather
on May 21, 2012 @ 6:18 am (Updated: 9:00 am - 5/21/12 )A stretch of relatively warm, dry weather came to an end over the weekend, and forecasters say the cold front will deliver a significant amount of rain Monday in Western Washington.
The National Weather Service expects .50 to 1.25 inches on the coast and .25 to .75 inches in the interior lowlands.

"Looks like we're back to reality for our weather for the end of May," said KING 5's Rich Marriott.
There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation in the Seattle area on Tuesday.
The NWS shows scattered showers will remain in the area on Wednesday and Thursday.
"Just a couple showers possible each day," said KING 5's Rich Marriott.
Rain also is forecast in Eastern Washington with a chance of thunderstorms.
Forecasts show cool, cloudy weather with a chance of showers will persist through the weekend in the Puget Sound area.
