Driver blows past trooper going over 100 mph

A trooper picking up debris on the side of I-5, south of Olympia, heard the tricked-out Acura Integra coming up from behind him.

"He could hear this car coming," Trooper Guy Gill told MyNorthwest.com. "He got in his patrol car and clicked the radar. One-hundred-fourteen miles an hour as he passed the trooper that was on the shoulder."

Gill said the trooper got in behind the driver and checked the speed again. It was over 120 miles an hour. "The trooper caught up to him and initiated a traffic stop and placed him under arrest for reckless driving," he said. "The guy's excuse this morning was he was late for work."

A driver was pulled over last week in Snohomish County going 104 miles an hour. He too blew right past a state trooper.

    Actual Drivers?
The troopers find 2 people that can actually drive and they give them a ticket? I still don't believe it, not in this state.

Your life must suck because you click on a story that peaks your interest, then are mad that it wasn't a good enough story for you. I'm glad it's a story not involving someone dying. Go blow Dori.

I see your 2700 lbs at 104 mph and raise you 5000lbs at 120 mph.

..the passive-aggressive drivers going 59 in the passing lane while people are passing them on the right are allowed to mess up traffic flow with impunity.

    Exactly!

However: 59? That must have been a good traffic day..... ;-)

    No kidding
If you need 5 car length between you and the car you are following going 30 to 40 mph, your DO NOT belong in the fast lane. The amount of people in the left lane that can't drive at all is mind-boggling. Got to love Germany their rules, you go to slow in the fast lane holding up traffic they ding you big time so hardly anybody does it anymore.
