Teen mob attacks Beacon Hill man with pool cues

Seattle police say that a group of children and teenagers attacked a man early Sunday morning before stealing his car.

The victim told police he was driving home from a wedding at 3 a.m. when he saw ten kids loitering around his house on the 11200 block of 57th Avenue South.

One girl asked if she could use the man's cell phone, and then sprayed him with mace.

The rest of the group swarmed him, pulled him out of his car, and started beating him. Some of the suspects, who may have been as young as 8-years-old, were also swinging pool cues.

The man reported that he was incapacitated, laying in the street and that passing drivers refused to stop and help him.

When his attackers abruptly ran off, the man drove down Beacon Avenue and called 911. He was talking to dispatchers when the children attacked him again and stole his car.

Since Sunday, some of the suspects have been apprehended by Seattle police and charged with assault and robbery.

One of the teenagers has been charged as an adult. Two others have been charged as juveniles.

    Ditto Mr. Law's Grandmother
It's too bad that none of our elected reps, and none of society's child worshiping lib parents even understand one ounce of Grandma's wisdom. Every parent whose kids were involved in this need to be exposed and held accountable for their severe lack of responsibility in this, because seriously what kind of loser parents let their kids run amok at 3am?

How do we know what to watch out for if we don't get a decription? Ah liberalism. Well we know they weren't wearing Polo shirts and top-siders otherwise the article would have included a police sketch and said something like "car fled eastbound on I-90 towards Bellevue". And Ron, please don't water down the "R" word in this forum, it's really not appropriate.

yeah, I agree, he was at home when he was attacked, who loiter's around somebodies residence? His own neighbors didn't hear or say anything after all these kids and commotion?

"When his attackers abruptly ran off, the man drove down Beacon Avenue and called 911. He was talking to dispatchers when the children attacked him again and stole his car."

So he didn't go inside his home that he was at were he was safe and his guns were readily available to call police, instead he get's back inside his vehicle and follow the kids and get's another beat down? Something smells fishy with this story.

    The problem with Seattle,
and some other major cities is, Seattle has a lot of tourist attractions. It has Western Washington's only "nightlife". But there is virtually nothing for the kids to do. I would propose an "under-age" night club. Yeah, it would get a little rowdy at times, but at least you would know what to avoid if you're not looking for trouble.

Unfortunately, under-age night clubs would instantly attract youth gangs, gangs will take control of that 'turf' and nobody else will be able to use it

    They closed them all
They closed many great musical venues that served both underage and adults, as well as a young people dance place. Some were forced out during the gentrification of Seattle, others quit because of gang problems. Sad to say, but with the Microsoft age came the infestation of Seattle by people not from the PNW. I miss the Off Ramp and other great bar/music venues.

If a story about an act of terror does not describe the perps, you know they are Muslim.
Similarly, if a story about violent crime does not describe the perps, you know they are African American. Strange but true.

    well, I suppose
that it's more news worthy if they're not muslim, or not blacks, so when they're not, it should be pointed out?

    NWGUY, decent point but...
Reality is that the MSM wants to believe - and wants everyone to believe - that these two groups are no more likely to commit bad acts than anyone else. They do NOT describe the perps when they are non-Muslim or non-black because it is "newsworthy", they do it because they are hyperventilating and want to say "SEE - EVERYONE DOES THESE THINGS!!!!"

Too answer your question, had I been out past midnight at a younger age, I would have eventually received the ask-whupping of a lifetime. Unfortunately the little thugs in training in this story will never know the benefits of a good ask-whupping, and society will pay for that too.

Did you know that it is against the law to put your hands on your kids, at least the way that you are describing it. Kids have more rights than there parents do.
