Man shot in South Seattle after refusing to race
on July 5, 2012 @ 4:39 am (Updated: 8:29 am - 7/5/12 )Police are searching for a suspect who they say shot a man after he refused to race in South Seattle.
The victim told police he was driving down MLK Jr. Way S. around 2:00 a.m. when a group waved him down at Orcas St. The people who tried to flag him down jumped into two separate cars and chased him to 7700 block of MLK Jr Wy S.
A passenger in a silver or grey BMW fired multiple shots at the victim's car, hitting the driver in the upper thigh.
The BMW and a second unknown car kept going on MLK Jr. Way S.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have provided no description of the suspects.
