The Tacoma News Tribune reports the 26-year-old man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police arrested the 32-year-old suspect in the parking lot at 900 block of Ninth Street Southeast when he returned to the scene about an hour after the shooting.
It's not clear what started the argument, but police say it appears both men were returning home from Fourth of July parties. They didn't know each other prior to the shooting.
