Vice President Joe Biden visits Seattle for fundraiser
on July 9, 2012 @ 7:04 am (Updated: 11:28 am - 7/9/12 )The Vice President and his wife are in Seattle Monday, making separate appearances. On their agendas: Fundraising, education and jobs.
Vice President Joe Biden will lead a fundraiser for Senator Maria Cantwell and other democratic candidates at the Westin Hotel in the afternoon. The price of admission ranges from $50 to $250.
Cantwell has already raised $4.6 million for her re-election campaign. Her only officially declared opponent, State Senator Michael Baumbartner has raised about $145,000.
At about the same time, Dr. Jill Biden, a longtime educator, will visit the South Seattle Community College hangar at Boeing Field for a panel discussion highlighting education and industry partnerships and jobs.
