Vice President Joe Biden visits Seattle for fundraiser

The Vice President and his wife are in Seattle Monday, making separate appearances. On their agendas: Fundraising, education and jobs.

Vice President Joe Biden will lead a fundraiser for Senator Maria Cantwell and other democratic candidates at the Westin Hotel in the afternoon. The price of admission ranges from $50 to $250.

Cantwell has already raised $4.6 million for her re-election campaign. Her only officially declared opponent, State Senator Michael Baumbartner has raised about $145,000.

At about the same time, Dr. Jill Biden, a longtime educator, will visit the South Seattle Community College hangar at Boeing Field for a panel discussion highlighting education and industry partnerships and jobs.

    Pulled out from a stop sign right in front of a very big truck. The truck driver had no chance to stop. Tragically Biden's wife and his daughter both died. Later Joe would suggest to audiences that the truck driver was drunk. The driver died years later without an apology from Joe Biden. What a cruel thing Joe Biden did to this poor man.
