Another weekend of gun violence in Puget Sound

Jul 16, 2012, 4:44 AM | Updated: 6:38 am

It was another weekend in the Puget Sound area marred by gun violence as police from Arlington to Tacoma are investigating at least five cases where people pulled guns and fired.

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot at Blue Stilly Park in Arlington. Q-13 reports the man died after being shot around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police have not located the suspect.

An intruder in Tacoma faced gunfire from a homeowner. The homeowner tried shouting to the intruder, but the person continued attempts to enter the home and was shot. The man shot is expected to be OK.

In Ballard, a man and woman were shot inside an apartment. Both victims were transported to Harborview with life-threatening injuries. The woman’s ex-boyfriend was arrested shortly after.

There were two more shootings in the Seattle area over the weekend. Outside a Belltown club, someone pulled a gun and fired several shots after a fight in the parking lot.

In South Seattle, two men fired 15 or 16 shots at each other. The bullets hit parked cars and at least one house.

No one was hurt in either of these incidents.
