A homeowner near Woodinville opened fire when he
came home to find two people burglarizing his place.
King County Sheriff Steve Strachan said the homeowner, in
his 60s, pulled a gun and ordered the burglars
to stay put, which they did for a while. The homeowner
then called 9-1-1.
At some point, the male burglar charged the homeowner who
fired twice, hitting the 29-year-old man in the chest and
groin.
“The male then continued out the door, got into his car,
jumped into the car and drove away, leaving the female
there as she was being held at gunpoint by the homeowner,”
explained Strachan.
The sheriff said the wounded man stopped a couple miles
away and called 9-1-1 for medical help. He’s hospitalized
in critical condition.
Back at the Hollywood Hills home, the female burglar
managed to run out a door. She’s still on the
loose, described as a white female in her 20s with dark
hair
in a ponytail. She was wearing a black t-shirt.
