Burglars caught on video arrested by King County Sheriff

Two burglars have been arrested by the King County Sheriff's Office after they were caught in the act on a victim's security camera.

King County Sheriff's Sergeant Cindi West said the video, turned over by a homeowner living in Hollywood Hill near Woodinville, was good quality and even better evidence. The video showed the suspects driving up to the victim's house on Wednesday and leaving with a substantial amount of property.

According to the homeowner, he had just left for work when the suspects tried to break into his house just after 8 a.m. on August 8. His wife reported that she was showering inside and didn't hear the suspects.

When they couldn't break into the house, the suspects broke into an outdoor shed and stole $2,000 worth of tools, including a generator and pressure washer.

Through the video, detectives were able to get the car's make, model, and license plate.

When detectives spotted the car at a Bothell Way motel on Saturday, they got a search warrant and found the burglars in possession of stolen property from more than one burglary.

Sergeant West said that the video and the detective's teamwork made the arrest go smoothly.

"No problem. Took them into custody. It was pretty clear by the video evidence that they were the ones that committed the first burglary, and through the investigation we found out there was another burglary that they were responsible for and got quite a bit of property back from that," said Sergeant West.

The suspects are currently being held at the King County Jail for suspicion of residential burglary.

This is what is wrong with our society
When a newspaper or website like this one can't state the facts but says and I quote

"The suspects are currently being held at the King County Jail for suspicion of residential burglary."

Caught on video taken the goods that weren't theirs so what is a suspicion here??? It is called a fact. But I'll bet in this liberal wonderland you are not even allowed to call criminals criminals. How sad for the victims, the only people everybody should be concerned about, not the garbage that commits the crimes.

    reality check
are you some unpatriotic hater? in AMERICA, you are innocent until proven guilty. How sad for the victims? I bet they can sleep better knowing that the police department arrested these criminals and brought them to justice. It's nice knowing we live in a country where you know if you go around stealing things that you will be found and arrested. This should be a positive story but america haters like yourself have to try and bring us ALL down.

    Also
Pay attention what a post is actually saying. If they were caught on tape breaking in and stealing you are no longer suspected to have done it but we have solid proof already and therefore it is a fact. If you suspect somebody to have done something you lack solid proof ( like a video catching them in the act) . Very simple isn' t it?

    Names?
What another crappy article. What piss poor journalism school did the reporter go to that he or she didn't even put the suspects names in the article. Who, what, when, and where should be in the article.

    Semantics
They have 72 hours from arrest to decide what to do. The charge could be anywhere from petty theft to grand larceny. Until then you can be held "on suspicion". Note the story does say there were items preset which were taken in other thefts, for which there is no video evidence available yet.

    Burglars burgle, not rob
Robbery is using force against a person to take property. Your house doesn't get robbed, it gets burgled. You guys really need to hire some editors.

or maybe we should all just lower our standards. You'd think a news reporter would know the difference bwteen robbery and burglary. Anyway, prosecute these "guys" as "men," but they're actually "punks."
