Microsoft and Nokia are taking another shot at the iPhone and Android, unveiling Wednesday the first phone to run Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8 operating system.
The Nokia Lumia 920 offers a high-definition display, enhanced camera and wireless charging.
The Lumia 920 will also include 32GB of device storage, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
Analysts say the stakes are high for both companies as they try to establish themselves as a viable third option in the smartphone market.
“This is the most innovative smartphone in the world,” said Jo Harlow, Nokia’s Executive Vice President.
The companies did not reveal price or availability details on Wednesday.
